Why have I received a Content ID claim from Hooksounds on my video?

A Content ID claim is a notification that our music was detected in your video. The Content ID system is an automatic system which constantly checks all videos on platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram for matched third party content such as images, videos and music. Once there is a match, a Content ID claim will be placed on the video, informing the video uploader about such findings.

If you are not monetizing your video and you have downloaded the music through our free music page, or with the free Use & Mention license, you do not have to worry about any limitations.

If you purchased a license or subscription and received a CONTENT ID Claim (copyright claim), please make sure to Whitelist your channels via your Channel Whitelist dashboard in your profile. Once your channel shows a green “Whitelisted” label, you can start posting. The Content ID system, from then on, will not flag your videos anymore in case it finds matched audio content from HookSounds.
